Job Description
United Floral Distributors (UFD) is a floral wholesaler in Fenwick. We are looking for a part time employee to join our team.
As a Warehouse Packer you will be essential in ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your core responsibilities will include lifting boxes and order picking, while utilizing your skills in shipping and receiving, pallet jack operation, and warehouse management systems. Your strong communication skills and attention to detail will help in facilitating smooth operations. Responsibility
- Pack plant orders for various customers according to the sales orders entered
- Effectively receive incoming product; compare to purchase order and help keep an accurate inventory.
- Use a computer system and tablets to pack and receive product
- Conduct run checks to ensure all items are packed accurately and heading to the correct store
- Organize boxes for outgoing runs
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the day
Requirements
- 1 or more years similar experience (floral or warehouse experience is an asset)
- Excellent Communication & interpersonal skills
- Extremely accurate and detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Computer/Electronic Skills
- Hardworking and ability to be on your feet all day
- Ability to lift and carry boxes, and pull skids of product
Job Type: Part-time. Monday to Wednesday and Saturday.
- Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday hours: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Saturday hours: 8:00am until work completion, these are usually shorter days
- Additional days and hours available during busy seasons (March to May)
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
