BGIS is looking for an analytically minded builder to help develop new tools, dashboards, and processes that improve how we manage and analyze energy and utility data for large commercial clients. This role will work with our energy and utility analysts to turn ideas into working analytics products.
What You’ll Work On
- Build dashboards and analytics tools using Power BI and Snowflake data
- Help develop benchmarking models comparing building performance across portfolios
- Support development of automated monthly utility performance reports
- Assist in building anomaly detection tools for utility bill validation and investigation
- Work with stakeholders to translate operational problems into data solutions
- Help improve internal tools used for energy, cost, and emissions analysis
Skills We’re Looking For
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability with demonstrated experience working with large datasets
- Experience applying data science techniques, such as statistical analysis, regression modeling, anomaly detection, and machine learning (supervised and unsupervised)
- Strong SQL and Python proficiency for querying, transforming, and using data in modern data platforms (Snowflake or similar)
- Advanced Power BI skills, including building interactive dashboards, data models, and report automation
- Comfort working with energy, cost, and operational datasets
Ideal Background
- 2–5 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or business intelligence
- Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics
- Demonstrated experience building analytics tools, dashboards, or data models using large datasets
- Experience applying statistical or machine learning methods in practical settings is an asset

This is a regular, full‑time position with a salary range of $61,850 – $77,313 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role.
