Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Real Estate Photographer & Videographer to capture high-quality images and compelling video footage of residential and commercial properties.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for composition, lighting, and framing. This position also involves the operation of micro drones (under 250g) for aerial exterior shots.

This role focuses strictly on on-site capture; no post-production editing is required.

Duties

  • Media Capture: Photograph and film interior and exterior spaces of various properties, ensuring optimal lighting, camera movement, and professional angles.
  • Aerial Content: Operate micro drones (under 250g) to capture aerial photos and smooth video flyovers of property exteriors and surrounding neighborhoods.
  • On-Site Coordination: Collaborate with real estate agents and homeowners to identify key selling features and ensure the property is "shoot-ready."
  • File Management: Organize and transfer all raw image and video files (SD cards/cloud uploads) to the editing team immediately following the shoot.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and transport all necessary gear, including cameras, lenses, gimbals, and micro drones, ensuring they are calibrated and flight-ready.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all drone flights are conducted safely according to Canadian aviation guidelines for micro drones.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in real estate photography and videography.
  • Drone Proficiency: Experience operating micro drones (e.g., DJI Mini series). While micro drones under 250g do not require a Pilot Certificate in Canada, the candidate must demonstrate knowledge of CAR operating in a non-reckless manner).
  • Canadian Compliance: * Thorough understanding of Transport Canada safety guidelines (staying below 122m, maintaining visual line-of-sight, and avoiding restricted airspace/emergency zones).
  • Knowledge of privacy laws related to capturing images in residential areas.
  • Technical Skill: Mastery of camera settings for both stills and video (manual mode, white balance, frame rates) without relying on post-production fixes.
  • Mobility: Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required for traveling between property locations.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio or demo reel showcasing high-quality raw photography and stable video work is required.
