We are looking for committed professionals with the same ambition and drive as our company, to provide the ultimate customer service experience. Currently looking to hire a Fibre Optic Splicer in Lower Mainland , BC for a permanent, full time position. This position involves all the facets of splicing including cable preparation, termination, fusion splicing, testing and troubleshooting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fibre
  • Documenting and reporting on completed telecommunication work
  • Maintaining project and telecom safety documentation
  • Inspecting routes and hub sites as preventative maintenance
  • Ensuring all attended sites are clearly labelled
  • Reviewing engineered plans and blueprints
  • Obtaining and maintaining a great attention to detail
  • Maintain Personal and Company provided tools
  • Maintain good condition of company vehicles
  • Rapidly Adapting to new changes that may occur
  • Be Flexible for various work hours
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
  • Having a reliable vehicle to transport yourself to and from work
  • Fibre Optic splicing experience (copper splicing experience is an asset)
  • Familiarity with the tools, equipment and techniques of the trade
  • Must be Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong Mechanical and Technical Skills
  • Ability to work on aerial platforms and ladders
  • Criminal Record Check is Required
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on emergency call outs as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

  • Position subject to a 3 month probationary period

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00-$42.00 per hour
