About Us:

Prospec Fabrication is looking for a Welder / Fitter (Aluminum Certified) to join our fabrication team in Greater Sudbury. This is a hands‑on role focused primarily on aluminum fabrication, supporting industrial, commercial, and mining‑related projects.

Our work is completed under ISO 9001–certified quality and safety systems, with a strong emphasis on doing the job right, working safely, and producing work you can stand behind.

This position is well suited to a registered welding apprentice at any stage, or a developing welder working toward certification, who wants steady work, exposure to different fabrication projects, and the opportunity to continue building their trade. While the primary focus is aluminum, there may be opportunities over time to expand into steel and stainless fabrication as additional certifications are obtained and business needs allow.

What You Bring

• Valid aluminum welding certification (required)
• Experience as a Welder / Fitter, or registration as a welding apprentice
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and welding symbols
• Ability to fit and assemble aluminum components to specification
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Assets

• CWB certification for steel and/or stainless steel
• Previous experience working with steel or stainless materials
• MIG and/or TIG welding experience
