Serving Saskatchewan since 1950, SaskAbilities offers a challenging and rewarding leadership opportunity as the Senior Supervisor, Assessment Services. Assessment Services are provided throughout Saskatchewan and support several provincial programs, including SAID, the Cognitive Disability Strategy through the Daily Living Support Assessment (DLSA), and Community Living Service Delivery Day Programs through the Day Program Support Assessment (DPSA).


Reporting to the Program Manager, the Senior Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for Assessment Services provincially. The successful candidate will be a strong, collaborative leader who brings sound judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to respectful, person‑centred practice. This role requires the ability to build effective working relationships with staff, government representatives, community organizations, and service partners across Saskatchewan, including working respectfully with and alongside First Nations and Métis individuals, families, communities, and organizations. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality service are essential.


Key responsibilities



  • Lead the day‑to‑day operations of provincial Assessment Services, including staff supervision, workflow coordination, scheduling, deployment, and service problem‑solving.

  • Support recruitment, orientation, training, mentorship, and performance management of staff and contractors.

  • Ensure quality assurance processes, service standards, timelines, and contract deliverables are met through effective monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor service trends, workload, and operational needs, and contribute to budget oversight, resource planning, and program efficiency.

  • Contribute to broader branch and provincial leadership activities, including service planning, staff safety practices, presentations, referral development, and other assigned initiatives.


Qualifications



  • Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum three to five years of related experience in human services, disability services, assessment services, or a comparable field.

  • Experience with service coordination, report writing, data monitoring, and contract or program accountability.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse communities and build respectful partnerships, including First Nations and Métis communities and organizations.

  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.

  • Results‑oriented and disciplined; accepts ownership with a hands‑on approach.

  • High professional standards, exercising influence to achieve mutual success.

  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, organizational, and technology skills.

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and a reliable vehicle.


Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.


Successful candidates are recommended to have an Auto Pak with at least 1 million dollars in liability insurance.
