We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, promoting oral health, and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough teeth cleaning (debridement) and examinations for patients of all ages.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care.
• Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Dentrix software.
• Provide pediatric dental care with a focus on creating a positive experience for young patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options and follow-up care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the operatory area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Dental Hygienist license.
• Proficiency in Dentrix software is highly preferred.
• Experience in orthodontics and pediatrics is an advantage.
• Strong customer service skills to enhance patient interactions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
• Previous experience in a dental office setting is beneficial.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
