Who are we looking for?

GHD is hiring a Proposal Manager to lead Ontario pursuit and proposal activities and manage the development and implementation of pursuit plans and strategy. Be part of the dynamic culture! Responsibilities

• Manage the proposal efforts for CRM clients throughout NA, including Federal clients.


• Lead proposal strategy discussions and kick‑off meetings for large pursuits and ensure strategic win themes are effectively incorporated throughout the proposal.


• Drive development and manage proposal team (technical leader, marketing coordinator, graphics, etc.).


• Collaborate with the team in the development of various proposal sections including Management, Personnel, Executive Summaries, and/or other Volumes as assigned.


• Facilitate Pink, Red, Gold team, and other reviews.


• Facilitate production and delivery of finished product, while complying with all RFP requirements.


• Lead interview strategy discussions.


• Manage the interview development and production process from start to finish.


• Document Preparation: Edit documents in line with organizational style guidelines and prepare information for publication.


• Needs Assessment: Uncover emerging issues or needs, identifying potential causes, barriers, and key stakeholders, as well as related issues.


• Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Analysis: Conduct complex feasibility studies from technological, financial, and organizational perspectives on bid solicitation, including RFP and RFT project requirements, and write specifications for tenders.


• Operational Compliance: Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards. Identify patterns of noncompliance within the team, report and resolve these, and escalating issues as appropriate.

Education

• Bachelor or Master’s degree

Experience

• Five to Seven years of experience leading the proposal process from prepositioning phases through interview and driving teams to develop and complete competitive bids for an engineering, construction, or professional services organization.


• Proficient in marketing techniques (layout, graphics, strategy‑to‑win).


• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.


• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign and Photoshop.


• Ability to manage and work effortlessly with Technical Leaders in any market and service line.


• Proven leadership and strategy development skills.


• Strong communication skills both written and oral.


• Good negotiation, problem solving, planning and time management skills.

The salary range for this position is $79,128 - $118,692. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in major city centres. Ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At GHD, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location.
