The Role We are looking for Professional Painters to join our team in Medicine Hat. This role works as part of a team to organize and stage product using an industrial monorail system through the phases of powder coating, sand blasting, washing, application, and baking.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand how powder coat painting works
- Operate the Blast Booth
- Operate hand tools, grinders, air sanders, and paint guns
- Operate all facets of the paint ovens
- Operate the air compressor
- Read and comprehend blueprints
- Maintain good housekeeping practices
- Ensure quality, as outlined in our Quality Manual, is inherent in all tasks performed
Qualifications
- Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent education
- Minimum of 2 years of paint and finishing experience; preference given to powder coating
- Basic reading, writing and math skills
- The ability to understand production instructions and drawings
- Strong organizational skills
