URGENT Job Opportunity: Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Are you a compassionate, certified PSW who brings joy and dignity to every client interaction? Modern Angels Healthcare is currently hiring a Certified Personal Support Worker with Medication Administration Certification to provide high-quality, holistic care to clients in the Welland, ON area. We are looking for someone who is not only skilled and experienced, but also deeply caring, energetic, and personable.
Key Responsibilities:
As a PSW with Modern Angels Healthcare, you will:
Personal Care
- Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper techniques
- Provide assistance with feeding and nutrition monitoring
Medical Support
- Administer medications as per certification and care plan (Medication Administration Certification required)
- Monitor vital signs and report health changes to supervisors or medical team
- Support chronic disease management (Dementia, Alzheimer's, Diabetes, etc.)
Mental & Emotional Support
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
- Engage clients in mind-stimulating games and activities (puzzles, board games, reading)
- Promote meaningful social interactions and encourage communication
Lifestyle Assistance
- Support clients with light household duties (cleaning, laundry, organizing)
- Prepare light, nutritious meals in line with client preferences or dietary needs
- Join clients for light recreational activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and joyful home environment
- Respect privacy, dignity, and cultural sensitivities at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) in Ontario (mandatory
- Minimum 2 years of experience caring for the elderly
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Warm, joyful personality and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
- Physically capable of light lifting, walking, and household tasks
- A passion for caregiving, companionship, and enhancing quality of life
