TEACHER – LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)

Mother St. Bride & St. Theresa

1.0 FTE

0.8 FTE Mother St. Bride – Primary/Junior Prep - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

0.2 FTE St. Theresa – Primary Prep - Friday

Effective immediately

For an indefinite period, but not to extend beyond June 26, 2026

Mandatory Requirements

Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary and Junior Divisions

Preferred Requirements

Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the above division
Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Understanding of the Ontario Curriculum, the Ontario Kindergarten Program and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
Knowledge and experience in supporting comprehensive (structured) literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction.
Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset
Additional qualifications in Special Education would be an asset
