Overview


Compensation: CA$70,000–CA$150,000 per year


Our personal injury and commercial litigation law firm is seeking a dedicated and motivated Associate with a minimum of two years of post-call experience in personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a dynamic team. Strong communication skills, tenacity, and intellectual curiosity are essential for success in this role.


Responsibilities



  • Correspond with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance companies

  • Draft pleadings, motions, mediation briefs, and other legal documents

  • Conduct legal research and review and summarize medical records

  • Attend case conferences, Examinations for Discovery, mediations, motions, hearings, and other proceedings as required

  • Negotiate and settle files

  • Maintain knowledge of and effectively apply the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS)


Qualifications



  • Minimum two years of post-call litigation experience

  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical abilities

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
