Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate cook with expertise in steak preparation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience cooking various cuts of steak to perfection, ensuring consistent quality and taste.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook steak dishes according to customer preferences (e.g., rare, medium, well-done).
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
  • Follow food safety guidelines, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as needed.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
  • Maintain equipment and utensils in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen environment.
  • Assist in planning menus, determining size of food portions
  • Assist in hiring and training kitchen staff.

Experience

  • Proven experience cooking steaks in a professional kitchen.
  • Knowledge of different steak cuts and preparation methods.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
  • Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures is beneficial.
  • Steak cooking knowledge is a must
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
