Fountain Tire Nanaimo is expanding its mechanical business to an 11-bay shop! And is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as a Licensed Automotive Service Technician.

You will get to
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
- Perform appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
- Complete approved service on customer vehicles
- Test and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
- Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune ups.
- Advise customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
- Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
- Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
- Support customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
What does it take to get on track?
- Red Seal Automotive Service Technician + CVI Inspection Certification
- Diesel experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers
- A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology
- The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to providing a superior customer experience
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
