Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of projects. The Painter will work closely with project managers and clients to deliver exceptional results while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, stains, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Perform rigging and setup of scaffolding or lifts as needed for elevated or hard-to-reach areas
- Execute restoration projects by matching colors and textures for seamless repairs
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met or exceeded
- Manage time efficiently to complete projects within designated deadlines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, caulking materials, and rigging equipment
- Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques including sanding and caulking
- Ability to read technical documents and follow detailed instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with carpentry or restoration work is a plus but not required
- Customer service orientation with a professional attitude toward clients and team members
