Bring your insights, elevate our people’s practices, and make a meaningful impact to the communities we serve.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the General Manager, you will serve as a strategic partner, leading HR strategy, programs, policy development, and process implementation for Homestead Co‑op. Including:

  • Leading all talent management practices including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee development, succession planning, workforce planning, compensation/benefits, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, health & safety, employee and labour relations, change management, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Providing leadership to the Human Resources team of professionals.

  • Collaborating with the Homestead Co‑op leaders to ensure consistent HR practices across all areas.

  • Partnering closely with the General Manager to provide advice on people practices.

  • Developing HR policies that support key organizational activities and programs.

  • Assisting in collective bargaining activities, participating in negotiations, and providing guidance for effective grievance handling and arbitration preparation.

  • Contributing to a workplace culture built on Trust, Teamwork, and Support.

Who we are:

Who you are:

You are looking to continue your career in Human Resources and:

  • Have 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, bringing a deep understanding of HR policies and practices, with a minimum of 2-4 years leading a team.

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or Business Administration. A CPHR designation (or working toward it) considered an asset (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).

  • Have strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Have experience developing, implementing, and supporting talent management programs within unionized environments.

  • Have the proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities with a high level of accountability.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salaries reviewed annually, purchase rebate, short-term incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer‑contributed pension plan.

  • Relocation assistance may be considered.

  • Encouragement to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop as a Team Leader.
