Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Hours: Various

Pay rate: $18.35/hour - $22.61/hour

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, visible security presence
• Greet, assist, and direct the public
• Protect clients, staff, buildings, and assets
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Conduct interior/exterior patrols and respond to emergencies
• Document and report incidents, investigate as required
• Perform patient watches and enforce hospital policies/by-laws
• Manage access control, keys, and parking enforcement
• Support monthly safety inspections and other assigned duties
• Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
• Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
• A copy of your immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
• Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis required at time of hire
• Applicants who are not immunized or cannot provide MMR-V and Pertussis immunity at hire will not be deemed eligible
• Steps to obtain immunization records: How to get immunization records and Immunization Forms: KHSC Immunization Forms
• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
• Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
• Minimum 6 months non-healthcare security experience preferred
• Able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months
• English proficiency (oral & written) required
• Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset
• 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
• Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe
• Applicants can opt into Paladin\'s Stay Safe certification program prior to onboarding certification to meet position requirements; Stay Safe certification is not paid, but Paladin will cover costs with a 6-month commitment
• Authorized to legally work in Canada

Certification Requirements

Valid Ontario Security License
First Aid, CPR Level C
