Position: Healthcare Security Guard - Full-Time - Extra Rounds
Site: Kingston General Hospital (KGH) - 76 Stuart
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: Monday to Friday, 0800-1600/1600-0000
Payrate: $22.61/hour
Internal Posting: March 13, 2025
Internal Closing: March 20, 2025
External Closing: April 30, 2025

Job Responsibilities:
- Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
- Greet, assist, and direct visitors
- Ensure safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Conduct interior & exterior patrols
- Respond to emergencies and assist as needed
- Document and report security events
- Investigate incidents
- Perform patient watches
- Enforce parking & smoking bylaws
- Enforce hospital policies
- Control access and key management
- Conduct monthly safety inspections
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C
- Ability to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test (clean shaven)
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double dose)
- Immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, TB tests)
- Ability to pass Vulnerable Sector Check
- Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
- Minimum 6 months non-healthcare security experience preferred
- Full-time availability for at least 6 months
- English proficiency (spoken & written); bilingualism an asset
- Customer service experience an asset
- Certifications in Stay Safe (or willingness to obtain through Paladin)
