Hours: Up to 15 hours per week during program delivery, weekend availability is required
Shift: Saturday-Sunday, 10:00am-3:00pm

Salary: $17.68 per hour
Reports To: Supervisor, Guest Services Lottery

Nature & Scope
The Kamloops Y Dream Home Lottery is an annual fundraising event organized by the YMCA BC - Kamloops. Participants purchase tickets for a chance to win a luxurious dream home, along with other exciting prizes. The proceeds from the lottery support various community programs and services provided by the YMCA, including those focused on health, fitness, and social services. The lottery is open to residents of British Columbia who are 19 years of age or older.
Reporting to the Guest Services Supervisor of Lottery, the Guest Services Associate is responsible for showcasing the home by providing tours, creating memorable guest interactions, and understanding the home's special features. They deliver exceptional customer service by answering guest inquiries, support the daily operations and activities of Open Houses, promote and sell lottery products, and ensure the safety of all guests, staff, and property by adhering to YMCA standards, policies, and procedures.
Major Responsibilities- in this position, you will:
- Showcase the 2025 Y Dream Home. This includes: providing tours of the home, creating memorable guest interactions, have a good understanding of special features built into the home, provide exceptional customer service by answering guest enquiries
- Support day-to-day operations and activities of Open Houses
- Promote and sell lottery products
- Ensure the safety of all guests, staff, and property by following YMCA standards/policies/procedures
Qualification-you bring:
- Customer service and sales experience
- As per licensing requirements by BC Gaming, applicants must be 19 years of age or older
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificate or willing to obtain
- Access to reliable transit or a vehicle
- An outgoing attitude that will encourage customers to purchase lottery products is an asset
- Candidates must be available to work weekends, April through June. Hours of Open Houses are Saturday and Sunday 10:00am - 3:00pm
- Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
