Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and sanitized environment. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a courteous manner
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cash transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, food prep stations, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in cashiering, food preparation, or serving roles will be advantageous
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing sales totals
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry is desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and handle diverse customer needs
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
