Location: We are seeking an experienced Concession Culinary for the BC Place Stadium.

Sodexo Live! is the Official Supplier of Food and Beverage Services to BC Place Stadium. BC Place is a multi-purpose stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Located at the north side of False Creek, it is owned and operated by the BC Pavilion Corporation, a Crown corporation of the province. Home to BC Lions, Vancouver White Caps, Concerts and Live events, the facility hosts welcomes hundreds of thousands of fans each year, while generating significant economic activity for the Province.

Job Overview:

The concession culinary team member supports the delivery of high-quality food offerings across BC Place's concession outlets. This role is responsible for the efficient preparation, cooking, and execution of stadium style menu items in a fast paced, high-volume environment.

Working closely with Chef de Parties, Sous Chefs, and front of the house team, this position ensures food is prepared to established standards of taste safety, speed, and presentation while upholding BC Place's commitment to exceptional guest experiences.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and assemble concession menu items consistently to recipe and quality standards
  • Maintain product par levels and respond to real-time demand during events
  • Adhere to safe food handling and allergen protocols during all stages of production
  • Track usage and spoilage of food during event and reporting to culinary management
  • Follow and record temperature log procedures
  • Support opening, operating, and closing procedures for concession kitchens, including equipment setup, line organization, and station cleanliness
  • Assist with inventory rotation, receiving, and storage (FIFO) to maintain products freshness and minimize waste
  • Communicate stock issues or operational concerns promptly to leadership
  • Ensure food leaves the kitchen hot, fresh, and visually appealing
  • Maintain speed of service and workflow during peak crowds to meet event service expectations
  • Take pride in stadium food presentation and BC Place signature item execution
  • Follow all WorkSafe BC, food safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Participate in cleaning schedules, including sanitizing stations, equipment, and utensils throughout and after service.
  • Report any hazards, incidents, or equipment issues immediately.
  • Work collaborate with fellow cooks, cashiers, and supervisory teams to ensure smooth service and positive working environment.
  • Support training of new team members as required and contribute to a culture of respect, inclusion and continuous improvement.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Valid FoodSafe Level 1 (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • 1-2 years Kitchen experience (stadium, concession, or quick-service is preferred)
  • Strong understanding of high-volume batch cooking and hot holding best practices
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment – standing for long periods, lifting 25-40lbs, handling hot/cold environments
  • Flexibility to work event-based schedule, including evening, weekends, and holiday.
  • Must wear appropriate Non – Slip Shoes at all times
  • Must be available to work all Mandatory & High Impact Events

Other Requirements:

  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
  • Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
