About the Role
We are looking for a Sr. FinOps Analyst/Manager to help manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure spend across Azure and AWS. You will own budget tracking and variance analysis, build clear reporting that explains what is driving cloud consumption, and partner with finance, engineering, and business teams to improve cost efficiency.
What You Will Do
• Track and manage cloud spend against budget and forecast; analyze and explain variances.
• Identify key drivers behind cloud consumption and spending trends.
• Partner with finance and technology teams to improve transparency and decision-making.
• Collaborate with optimization and engineering teams to identify and track cost-saving opportunities.
• Use internal reporting tools and Azure/AWS portals to analyze billing and usage data.
• Create clear, executive-ready reports and dashboards on cloud spend and forecasts.
MUST HAVE
• FinOps certification
• 3+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or technology finance
• Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cost management and billing
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ability to communicate complex cost and usage data in a clear, business-friendly manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities
• Practical experience with both Azure and AWS
Nice to Have
• Basic coding or scripting skills (e.g., SQL, Python, Project management, data gathering experience
• Experience using AI or low-code tools such as Copilot Studio to automate reporting or analysis.
• Familiarity with tagging, allocation, or showback/chargeback practices.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Monthly 1:1 meetings to review reports.
• Discuss cloud spend: how much was spent, why, and where.
• Address billing issues.
• Perform data analysis and data gathering.
• Engage in stakeholder discussions.
• Collaborate with the FinOps Insights team.
• Create visualizations and reporting.
• Monitor budgets and identify opportunities to improve cost control.
• Individual contributor role.
The expected base salary range for this position is $40 – $44 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.
