Water Technician


Location: Grande Prairie, AB


Position Type: Full-time


Wage/Salary Range: Competitive; based on experience and qualifications


Shift Schedule: Day and night shifts; rotational schedule may apply


Hours Per Day: 10–12 hours

Job Overview


GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is a proudly Indigenous-owned staffing company dedicated to creating long-term sustainable employment opportunities across Canada. We are currently seeking one safety-oriented, reliable, and skilled Water Technician to join our Valued Clients team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This is a full-time position suited to an individual with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety.


Responsibilities



  • Rigging hose lines and operating large hydraulic pumps for water transfer

  • Utilizing equipment such as skid steers, loaders, and off-road vehicles

  • Conducting pressure testing and pigging of lines

  • Monitoring pump pressures, gauges, RPMs, and water flow

  • Performing hose testing, minor maintenance, and repairs


Qualifications



  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing

  • Physical capability to lift and carry 50 lbs. repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and walk distances

  • Reliable transportation to commute to the job site

  • Experience with lease road driving

  • Basic math skills and strong mechanical aptitude

  • Willingness to work day and night shifts and be away from home for extended periods


Preferred Qualifications



  • Labor background in service rigs, drilling rigs, pipeline testing, or mechanical work

  • Experience working shift work in outdoor environments, including winter conditions

  • Outdoor enthusiast with interests such as fishing, hunting, or hiking


Work Environment


This role is performed in outdoor industrial settings and may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions, uneven terrain, and physically demanding tasks. Work is conducted in accordance with strict safety and operational standards.
