The Charlotte Street Arts Centre (CSAC) is a vibrant community hub dedicated to the arts, culture, and well-being of the New Brunswick community. Role Description
The Treasurer will oversee the financial matters of FAL, generate and share reports about the financial health of the organization with the FAL board of directors at regular intervals, and help ensure appropriate and effective financial measures, controls and procedures remain in place. The Treasurer will often work collaboratively with members of the board and the executive director and would ideally be based in Fredericton.

We're looking for someone with experience in finance and accounting (preferably charity finance), financial data analysis, and the ability to translate financial information to a language we can all understand. Having a Chartered Accountant qualification is desirable, as is an appreciation for the many benefits arts and culture programming can bring to a community.

The board of directors meets each month (typically online) with occasional executive meetings throughout the year when needed.

Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and accounting
Experience with nonprofit organizations and understanding of charity regulations
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to use financial software and tools effectively
Clear communication and collaboration skills for interacting with the board and stakeholders
Commitment to the mission and values of the Charlotte Street Arts Centre
Experience in governance or previous board experience is an asset
CPA designation or equivalent financial qualifications is a plus
