Technology Manager & Sales Engineer
Location:
Cambridge, Ontario
Salary:
Competitive salary of $90,000 per year, plus annual bonus, based on experience.
The Technology Manager & Sales Engineer will report to the VP of Operations and will work both from the Cambridge, Ontario office and in the field. This role is responsible for leading the testing, procurement, and approval of all technology used in client solutions. Additionally, the position oversees costing, material planning, and technical solution design related to future sales. This role requires strong technical proficiency in Low Voltage, RF, Structured Cabling, and Integrated Communications systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the design of sold and deployed solutions, including low voltage, RF, and structured cabling projects. This includes reading and reviewing blueprints, architectural drawings, and network diagrams to ensure accurate designs.
- Ensure all projects meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Create detailed system designs, bills of materials, and statements of work to support project planning and execution.
- Assist in coordinating internal and external teams to support project deployment.
- Investigate, evaluate, test, and approve new technologies to support future solutions.
- Support project management and installation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in structured cabling and ICAT (Information, Communication, and Automation Technology) project management.
- Strong technical knowledge of low-voltage systems, RF, and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and produce accurate takeoffs.
- Experience working in hospital or healthcare environments is an asset.
- Familiarity with CSA-C22.2 No and related industry safety standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project), AutoCAD, and Adobe tools.
- Willingness to travel nationally for site visits and project support.
