Supply Position-Early Childhood Educator Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in nurturing and educating young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development in a supportive and engaging environment. This role involves educating and caring for children in their formative years, ensuring their social, emotional and cognitive development. The Early Childhood Assistant will work closely with children, parents, and staff to create an inclusive atmosphere that supports diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assess and monitor children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to promote a collaborative learning community.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment.
- Encourage social skills development through group activities and play-based learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements
- Experience working in childcare
- First Aid/ CPR Level C
- Available 3 to 5 days a week(weekly hours can range between 0 to 40 per week)
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to write clear reports and documentation regarding student progress
- Knowledge of special education strategies to assist with children with disabilities
- Passion for educating young minds while fostering an inclusive environment for all students
- Please note-interviews are conducted in-person
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $19.20 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
