Qualifications
- We are seeking a candidate with a certificate in an office or business administration program.
- Experience in delivering a high level of client service and demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, resolve issues, and take initiative.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to build rapport, listen actively, and engage respectfully with students from diverse cultural, social, and lived-experience backgrounds. A commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work to a high level of accuracy, maintain confidentiality, and be flexible to regularly changing priorities is necessary, as is the need for strong analytical skills.
- Experience with high-volume data entry preferred.
- Applicants must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with database management is necessary; familiarity with Slate would be an asset.

Responsibilities
Acadia seeks a Student Service Representative in Admissions to be an initial point of contact for individuals wishing to study at Acadia. The Student Service Representative provides assistance and information on admission requirements and application, scholarship, registration, housing and financial processes. They will also connect potential students with other areas of campus as required. A large number of client inquiries are dealt with on a daily basis.
In processing applications for admission, the incumbent will verify accuracy and completeness of records and process fees received. This position is also responsible for document tracking, file and database management, and report preparation; may also be required to update the Admissions website.
The Student Service Representative has the advising ability to help applicants navigate academic regulations and criteria to provide support through the application process. High standards in quality of work are necessary as errors directly affect students, the confidence of academic units, and the reputation of the University.
