Title: Status Card Admin Coordinator – Metro Vancouver


Salary: $59,336 – $81,586 per year (pay range explained below)


Contract: Full Time, Term until March 31, 2027


Hours: 8:30am–4:30pm Mon–Fri (core hours 9am–3pm Mon–Fri)


Location: Metro Vancouver office – unceded traditional territories of the X?m??k??y??m (Musqueam), S?wx_wú7mesh (Squamish), and s?lilw?ta? (Tsleil‑Waututh) Nations.


About The Role


As a Status Card Processor you will be responsible for assisting First Nations clients in submitting applications for the Secure Certificate of Indian Status (SCIS) to Indigenous Services Canada. This role provides direct support to clients by guiding them through the application process, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately, and facilitating access to status card services. It also provides administrative support for the implementation of plans, systems, processes and procedures for effective and efficient operations of Status cards. The position will engage with First Nations individuals both in Vancouver and in remote communities throughout British Columbia, requiring periodic travel to designated locations.


Please Note: 50% of travel and a Class 5 driver’s licence are requirements for this role.


About You


To be successful in this role you will have or possess the following:



  • Education and Occupation: Diploma in business administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience.

  • Experience with BC First Nations communities or organisations.

  • Handling Sensitive Information: Experience handling sensitive and confidential information and matters in a trusted and responsible manner.

  • Advanced Knowledge of MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Access.

  • Cultural Competency: Understanding of First Nations perspectives and experiences.

Advanced knowledge of MS Office – Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Access; cultural competency and understanding of First Nations perspectives and experiences.
