Job Description: Full-Stack Developer (Staff Level)
Our client's platform is used primarily by healthcare providers managing conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. They have published peer-reviewed papers demonstrating health improvements from their product.
They seek a staff-level full-stack developer to lead the development of internal systems, automate manual processes (using machine learning and traditional techniques), and build the next generation of their nutritional database.
More Details:
- Experience: 7+ years in software development (Python, Postgres, React, TypeScript), with leadership experience in project or product management.
- Responsibilities: As you build trust, you will lead various internal systems, including:
- Automation of manual processes: Support the dietetics team in automating food and nutrition database maintenance, emphasizing high-quality, clinically trusted nutritional data.
- Next-generation nutritional database: Collaborate with the CTO to develop this database, gaining an in-depth understanding of the infrastructure.
- Other internal systems: Contribute to systems like the React-based operational management system and Elastic-based food matching system.
- Mentorship: Mentor and empower junior team members.
Team:
Work directly with the CTO (15 years startup experience, including an exit), co-founder, CEO, COO/CDO, and the existing development team (one senior mobile developer, two junior developers). Collaborate with the CMO, dietetics, and customer support staff.

- Python (Flask, Dramatiq), React (MUI), TypeScript
- Postgres, DBT, Redis, Elastic
- Google Cloud, GKE, Helm, Pulumi
- CloudFlare, Customer.io, Mixpanel
- React Native with Expo for mobile apps
