Company Overview

We are a premier home builder based in Calgary, specializing in highly customized, design-driven homes for discerning clients. Our work focuses on inner-city custom estate homes and thoughtfully designed residences within a master-planned community. Quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are non-negotiable, and we are deeply involved in every stage of the build to ensure the finished home meets the highest standards.

As our portfolio continues to grow, we are looking to add a dedicated, detail-oriented Service & Warranty Technician to our team. This role is critical to maintaining the level of care, professionalism, and client experience our homeowners expect long after move-in.

Position Overview

As a Warranty Technician, you play a key role in the homeowner experience after possession. You are responsible for managing and completing warranty service requests, diagnosing deficiencies, and performing repairs or adjustments to ensure each home continues to meet our standards for quality and performance.

Professionalism and a polished presence are essential, as this role involves entering clients' homes and representing our brand directly. Building trust, communicating clearly, and reassuring homeowners that they are being well cared for are critical to the role. You will work closely with homeowners, trade partners, and our internal construction team to resolve issues efficiently, respectfully, and with attention to detail, reinforcing our reputation for craftsmanship and exceptional client care.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to warranty requests, assessing issues and determining the appropriate course of action
  • Perform repairs and adjustments to resolve warranty issues, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other general maintenance tasks
  • Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate resolution of warranty-related concerns
  • Communicate with homeowners to schedule appointments and explain the work being done
  • Maintain accurate records of warranty requests, actions taken, and any follow-up work required
  • Ensure all warranty work is completed to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding client expectations
  • Monitor and track warranty timelines to ensure that all issues are addressed within the designated time frame
  • Collaborate with project managers and the construction team to identify potential long-term solutions to recurring warranty issues

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in home construction, warranty work, or general maintenance is preferred
  • Knowledge of construction practices and materials, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve a variety of issues
  • Strong carpentry skills, with proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, and other home repair areas
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple warranty requests at once
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanour
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, with good physical stamina for performing repairs
  • BuilderTrend experience a bonus
