Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

Join our maintenance crew as a Service Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities. This position involves a variety of tasks including moving furniture, cleaning, repairing modular trailers, and assisting supervisors with daily duties. Expect to engage in heavy lifting up to 50lbs continuously and work predominantly indoors with some outdoor duties.

Responsibilities

• Move and clean furniture, trailers, and shop/yard/containers.
• Repair modular trailers, focusing on framing, finish carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and running gear.
• Assist supervisors in daily duties and responsibilities.
• Provide customer service and create floor plans as needed.
• Control inventory and perform inspections for off/on rent buildings.
• Make modifications according to customer needs.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction or light industrial work.
• Mechanically inclined with electrical and plumbing aptitude.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Experience in carpentry and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or as a handyman.
• Hands-on experience in electrician or plumbing fields.
• Customer service skills.

Work Environment

Work in the Airdrie industrial area under a team of five, with a schedule of 7:00AM-3:30PM, Monday to Friday, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Expect occasional overtime during busy periods. This role is ideal for someone living in Airdrie or North Calgary and looking for a career where training and development are prioritized.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Airdrie, AB.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Airdrie,AB.
