Position Requirements
- Must have and maintain a valid class 5 Alberta Driver's License and may be required to have or obtain a Class 3 Alberta Driver's License depending on the needs of the department and Town.
- Grade 12 Diploma or GED
- Must have the ability to work diligently within Town policies and prcedures
- Must be in good physical condition and may be required to successfully perform a physical ability test.
- Must be able to demonstrate satisfactory ability to learn to operate a variety of equipment that is utilized in a municipal government.
- Must be able to demonstrate satisfactory ability to operate a variety of equipment that is utilized in a municipal operations environment.
- Must have work or personal experience that would demonstrate the ability to work independently and unsupervised, show self-motivation, and to demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to take initiative to identify and report problems.
Responsibilities
- To Operate various equipment for the purpose of maintenance and/or construction of the municipality's parks, facilities and various properties.
- To perform routine maintenance on equipment and facilities as required and directed by the supervisor.
- Ensures that a positive public image is portrayed to the public, indicating the municipalities commitment to excellence in service for the residents of the Town of Redcliff.
- Will be responsible to ensure adequate on-site safety procedures and regulations are practiced as they pertain to operations of the municipality.
- Will be required to participate in a rotating schedule.
- After-hours standby, weekend work and call-out duties may be required.
- Other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $22.03-$24.89 per hour
Work Location: In person
