Area Retail Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Area Retail Manager to oversee the performance and operations of multiple retail locations across Calgary. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, leading store managers, and ensuring a consistent customer experience across all locations. The successful candidate will act as a key link between head office and the retail network, providing leadership, operational oversight, and coaching to ensure each location achieves its business objectives.

Responsibilities
• Lead and support store managers across multiple retail locations, ensuring strong operational performance and team engagement.
• Drive sales growth and profitability by establishing performance targets, monitoring results, and implementing strategies to improve store performance.
• Provide coaching and leadership to store managers to support employee development, customer service standards, and operational execution.
• Conduct regular store visits to review performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure consistent execution of company policies and standards.
• Analyze sales, occupancy, and operational metrics to identify trends and implement strategies that improve results.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of store managers and retail staff.
• Ensure each location maintains high standards for customer experience, merchandising, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with senior leadership to support regional growth initiatives and operational improvements.
• Manage budgets, staffing levels, and performance metrics across the region.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of retail management experience, including experience overseeing multiple locations.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop store managers and retail teams.
• Strong business acumen with experience analyzing sales performance and operational metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to drive results across multiple locations simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and travel regularly within the region.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations.
Compensation
• Base salary: $60,000 – $65,000
• Performance bonus: $25,000 – $30,000 potential
• $6,000 annual car allowance
• Mileage reimbursement
