Title: Regional Manager, Mental Health and Wellness
Salary: $99,899 - $117,528 - $135,158 per year (pay range explained below per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Northern Region, B.C. Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA's flex work policy).
About The Role
As Regional Manager, Mental Health and Wellness, you will lead the planning and implementation of impactful mental health and wellness programs, focusing on improving wellness outcomes for First Nations individuals and families. You will oversee the trauma-informed practices, outreaches, and crisis response services your team provides. You will also be fostering strong partnerships with BC First Nations communities, other Regional Health staff, and leadership.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have/be –
Education
A Bachelor's Degree in psychology, public health, health sciences, social work, or a related degree.
8 years of experience, including that in leadership, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a clinical setting.
A Master's Degree, an Indigenous Cultural Competency course, and/or equivalent education are assets.
Experience
8 years of recent experience in mental health programs and planning, including trauma-informed practices and responding to mental health emergencies.
8 years of recent, significant experience working within BC's healthcare system and collaborating with First Nations communities and organizations.
Proven ability to provide mental wellness advice and recommendations to practitioners and clients.
Knowledge
Strong knowledge of the mental health and wellness governance landscape in First Nations health in BC.
Expertise in mental wellness theories, practices, and principles, including suicide prevention, mental health emergency response, and the programs and services available to BC First Nations.
Understanding of the mental health and wellness needs and challenges faced by BC First Nations, preferably with experience in program development.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
