Job Summary
Hugo's Mexican Eats is looking for a motivated and reliable Quick Service Team Member to join our fast-paced restaurant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the kitchen, preparing and assembling dishes, and providing friendly customer service at the front counter.
You will be responsible for both back-of-house and front-of-house duties, including food preparation, cooking, order assembly, and operating the cash register.
All team members are required to complete in-house training to learn our recipes, kitchen procedures, food safety standards, and customer service expectations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to Hugo's recipes and standards
- Cook and assemble menu items efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep areas, and service stations
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times
- Operate the cash register and process payments accurately
- Take customer orders and provide friendly, professional service
- Restock supplies and assist with opening and closing duties
- Work as part of a team in a fast-paced quick-service environment
Requirements
- Valid Food Safe certificate (required or willingness to obtain)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Previous quick-service, kitchen, or cash handling experience is an asset
