Practice Details


The Hillside Centre is a 47‑bed tertiary mental health facility in Kamloops, BC, serving adults and older adults with complex psychiatric needs across Interior Health. The role involves comprehensive geriatric psychiatric care, including managing severe neurocognitive disorders, using trauma‑informed and palliative approaches, and supporting transitions in care.


There are also opportunities for leadership, teaching, research, and integration with acute, community, or long‑term care settings. Leadership development opportunities are available through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program.


Clinic Details


The Hillside Psychiatric Centre provides services to adult and elderly individuals with acute psychiatric illness who cannot be cared for in the psychiatric system within their own community.


Compensation


Type: Fee‑for‑Service
Estimated Remuneration: $400,000‑$450,000, plus MOCAP level 2


Benefits and Incentives


Relocation Funding Available – Relocation reimbursement up to a maximum of $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada (with eligible detailed receipts). Relocation incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at the time of offer.
