Job Summary

Are you passionate about turning ideas into compelling narratives? Do you thrive on collaboration and enjoy crafting standout proposals with a team? Equans is seeking an experienced Proposal Specialist to join our Business Development team. In this role, you'll work closely with Account Executives and Managers, playing a key part in shaping winning bids and supporting strategic pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate RFQ/RFP response development in collaboration with Bid Managers, Account Executives, Subject Matter Experts, and partners.
• Translate pursuit strategies into clear, compelling proposal narratives, layouts, and visual elements.
• Review and interpret bid requirements, synthesize technical information, and ensure full compliance with submission criteria.
• Write, edit, and proofread technical and marketing content to align with corporate messaging and client expectations.
• Research relevant projects and develop tailored case studies to strengthen proposals.
• Collaborate with internal and international colleagues to gather information and produce integrated, client‑focused solutions.
• Contribute to maintaining the proposal content library and internal pursuit‑related systems.
• Support Business Development with presentations, marketing materials, and strategic communications.
• Document lessons learned from each pursuit to drive continuous improvement.
• Represent Equans at industry events and professional networks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Ability to pass required background checks and security screenings.
• Training or experience in proposal writing, communications, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience developing and writing bids.
• Experience or familiarity with the facilities management sector.
• Ability to understand technical content and communicate it clearly.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to accuracy and quality.

• Strong communication skills, including persuasive writing, editing, and visual storytelling.
• Proven ability to manage RFQ/RFP responses and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and geographies.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills for synthesizing complex information.
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Adaptable, strategic thinker focused on continuous improvement and client‑centric solutions.
