Project Manager
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager to join a fast-moving healthcare organization in Halifax, NS, supporting a major operational transformation and facility consolidation initiative. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating facility readiness, healthcare IT initiatives, vendor engagement, and organizational change as the organization transitions from multiple clinic locations into a consolidated, purpose-built site.
This role blends healthcare operations, facilities project management, and IT/software implementation, and is well suited for a hands‑on Project Manager who can operate with a high level of autonomy in a lean, high‑urgency environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple concurrent projects tied to clinic consolidation, site readiness, and organizational transition
- Act as a key internal representative in vendor, builder, and stakeholder meetings to ensure organizational needs are clearly communicated and executed
- Drive timelines, dependencies, and sequencing required to transition from multiple clinic sites into a single consolidated location
- Coordinate procurement activities including vendor outreach, quote comparisons, and selection for furniture, medical equipment, and operational services
- Support healthcare IT initiatives including software implementations, workflow transitions, and change management activities
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status updates for senior leadership
- Support smaller operational initiatives as needed (e.g., internal events, staff readiness activities, cross‑functional projects)
- Balance high‑level planning with hands‑on execution in an environment with limited overhead and fast‑changing priorities
Must Haves
- 5+ years of Project Management experience managing projects end‑to‑end (scope, schedule, budget, risk, stakeholders); flexibility for slightly less experience depending on relevance
- Experience working in a healthcare or healthcare‑adjacent environment (clinical operations, hospitals, clinics, regulated health services, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience supporting facility‑related projects such as clinic expansion, relocation, consolidation, or build‑out readiness
- Experience leading IT or software implementation projects, including change management, rollout planning, and stakeholder enablement
- Strong vendor coordination and procurement experience, including managing multiple quotes and working within tight budgets
- Comfortable operating with minimal oversight in a fast‑paced, start‑up‑like environment
Plusses
- Experience in start‑up, scale‑up, or high‑growth organizations
- Exposure to construction‑adjacent environments (even if not managing hard construction directly)
- Healthcare change management or operational transformation experience
- Familiarity with healthcare vendor ecosystems (medical equipment, clinical systems, facilities services)
