Job Description

Our client is looking for a highly strategic Plant Manager to lead operations at their Toronto-based manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about driving operational excellence, safety, and team performance.


What you should expect:

  • Oversee daily plant operations to meet production goals and customer expectations
  • Streamline workflows, optimize labour and equipment usage, and reduce waste
  • Ensure consistent product quality, timely delivery, and cost-effective manufacturing
  • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to maintain peak performance
  • Champion safety standards and ensure full regulatory compliance
  • Lead, coach, and develop plant personnel—hiring, training, and conducting performance reviews
  • Manage budgets, inventory, and supply chain activities
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives


What you should bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of experience in plant or operations management within manufacturing
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of team development and performance improvement
  • Strong background in production planning, cost control, and quality assurance
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and safety regulations
