Our client is looking for a highly strategic Plant Manager to lead operations at their Toronto-based manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about driving operational excellence, safety, and team performance.
What you should expect:
- Oversee daily plant operations to meet production goals and customer expectations
- Streamline workflows, optimize labour and equipment usage, and reduce waste
- Ensure consistent product quality, timely delivery, and cost-effective manufacturing
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to maintain peak performance
- Champion safety standards and ensure full regulatory compliance
- Lead, coach, and develop plant personnel—hiring, training, and conducting performance reviews
- Manage budgets, inventory, and supply chain activities
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives
What you should bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 5–10 years of experience in plant or operations management within manufacturing
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of team development and performance improvement
- Strong background in production planning, cost control, and quality assurance
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and safety regulations
