Position Overview
Transdev Ontario, operating under Priority Patient Transfer Services is assisting one of our Independent Contractor in finding full-time Patient Transfer Attendants for their team in Kingston, Ontario!
Your Role
- You are responsible for the safe transport of patients via stretcher/wheelchair to/from a healthcare facility, nursing home, or private residence
- You can provide outstanding customer service
- You have excellent communication skills
Requirements
Your Profile
You must possess the following qualifications:
- You have a valid First Responder Certification OR Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant Certification OR are working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR are a Fire Fighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification (please note, we provide training for First Responder if needed)
- You have a Valid BLS Certification (please note, we provide BLS training if needed)
- You possess a valid G class driving license.
- You have the ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with partner.
- You can effectively communicate in both verbal and written English.
- You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
- You can obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
- You have up to date immunization records and can provide the following records of: MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) *must be valid within last 12 month.
- You are comfortable with 12hrs shifts
- Full time availability with day, night and weekend availability ideally.
- Starting rate of $20-$21/hour.
