About the Role
We are hiring an Operations Manager to help lead and strengthen our year-round field operations across logistics, sweeping, and winter services.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands how field operations work and takes pride in building structure, supporting crews, and keeping work moving efficiently. The role is designed around seasonal flow. During the warmer months, the focus is on logistics coordination and leading our sweeping division. During the winter season, the role transitions into a Winter Operations Manager position responsible for a designated district and overall event execution.
Success in this role comes from anticipating needs, solving problems early, and ensuring people, equipment, and schedules are aligned before issues reach the field.

What You Will Be Responsible For
Operations & Execution
- Lead daily operations across logistics, sweeping, and seasonal services
- Ensure crews and equipment are deployed efficiently and safely
- Support operational flow by moving resources where they are needed most
- Float equipment and provide internal operational support across divisions
- Identify inefficiencies and help improve processes over time
- Support hiring, onboarding, and development of field staff
- Monitor operational performance and service quality
Sweeping & Logistics (Spring, Summer, Fall)
- Lead the sweeping division including scheduling, coordination, and execution
- Operate road sweeping equipment as required
- Support operations that may include evening, overnight, or weekend work based on client needs
- Coordinate daytime logistics and equipment movement between crews and job sites
- Ensure equipment readiness and communicate maintenance needs proactively
Winter Operations (Snow & Ice Management)
- Manage snow events within an assigned district
- Coordinate crews, equipment, and subcontractors during winter events
- Lead pre-event preparation and post-event review
- Maintain clear communication between crews, clients, and leadership during storms
- Ensure accurate documentation of service delivery for operational and compliance purposes
Leadership & Team Support
- Coach and support crew leaders and operators in daily operations
- Reinforce safety expectations and accountability standards
- Support performance conversations and team development
- Help build a culture where teams take ownership of results and support each other
Client & Quality
- Perform site visits and quality checks to maintain service standards
- Support resolution of service concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Participate in seasonal planning and operational improvements
What We Are Looking For
- 5 or more years of experience in operations, logistics, snow and ice management, or heavy equipment environments
- Strong operational awareness and ability to make decisions in time-sensitive situations
- Experience coordinating crews, routes, or equipment in a field-based environment
- Knowledge of Ontario safety requirements and transportation standards considered an asset
- Comfortable using operational software, mobile apps, and Microsoft 365
- Strong communicator who can work effectively with crews, clients, and leadership
- Valid G driver's license. A Class license considered an asset
- Someone who takes initiative and enjoys building better ways of working
