**Job Title: Construction and Industrial Technician**
**Job Description**
Join our team and work on exciting heavy construction projects including pipelines, chemical plants, and water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as industrial projects in manufacturing, food, and automotive plants across Ontario. We encourage growth and development, offering opportunities to work your way up with welding and obtain the SMAW ticket. Embrace the opportunity to work on both industrial and construction projects.
**Responsibilities**
Start up and testing of equipment
Shutdown operations
Renovating and restoring facilities
Rigging and handling machinery
Troubleshooting machinery
**Essential Skills**
Experience as a millwright in industrial, construction, or maintenance settings
Proficiency in machine, water, and wastewater operations
Holding a high-level apprentice or relevant ticket
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Welding experience
Proficiency with hand and power tools
SMAW welding experience
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience working with Water or Wastewater plants
Familiarity with alignment tools
Scissor lift operation
Confined space certification
Experience as both a Construction Technician and Industrial Technician
Working at Heights certificate

**Work Environment**
Expect a dynamic work environment that includes working at heights, in noisy, dusty, and cold conditions. Be prepared for a travel-heavy position, requiring comfort with being away from home for extended periods. Projects are located in various areas including Windsor, Wiarton, KW, and the west GTA, with new opportunities in Burlington, Collingwood, and Sarnia.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterloo, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
