We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mill Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of woodworking and manufacturing, demonstrating proficiency in operating machinery and tools essential for producing high-quality wood products. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate milling machines and other woodworking equipment to produce components according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and CNC machines for precise cutting, shaping, and finishing of wood products.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings using AutoCAD as necessary.
- Measure materials accurately using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient workspace within the warehouse or manufacturing facility.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks in the workplace.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is preferred.
- Strong carpentry skills with experience in woodworking techniques.
- Familiarity with CNC machinery and its operation is a plus.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Background in manufacturing processes related to wood products is beneficial.
- Knowledge of construction principles can enhance performance in this role.
- Experience with machining processes will be advantageous.
