Job Description
Kingdom Construction Limited is a General Contractor, specializing in municipal infrastructure construction. Kingdom Construction is a small family-run company doing big work in the water and wastewater construction industry, and we are currently looking for a Mechanical Operations Manager to join our Project Management Team at our head office in Ayr, Ontario for long-term permanent employment.
Working closely with the VP of Operations and other members of the Project Management team, the Mechanical Operations Manager is responsible for the administrative work necessary to complete the mechanical scope on a project.
Key Accountabilities:
· This role is intended to be technical and/or engineering in nature to have the depth of knowledge to fully comprehend all of the mechanical work as described in the contracts including, but not necessarily limited to how any and all mechanical systems function.
· Construct a site-specific QA/QC program for the mechanical work upon review of the scope of work in the contract.
· Assist with the formal CPM Schedule for the project as well as provide mechanical approval on the draft schedule.
· Create a site-specific cost monitoring program including monthly forecasts.
· Provide final approval of all Mechanical Shop drawings.
· As this role represents the majority of the mechanical skill set beyond the level of the mechanical field manager, it is a crucial part of the performance of this role to be available for technical consultation for all mechanical work.
· Provide any and all mechanical support required to the project management team for the pricing of mechanical changes in the work.
· Responsible to create and submit the mechanical and technical part of the project start-up and commissioning plans.
· This role shall determine whether any mechanical permits are required or special permits are required.
· This role shall be responsible to review and approve any and all isometric drawings required for fabricated packages.
Education and Experience:
· A minimum of 5-10 years of Mechanical Operations or Field experience, preferably with a lump sum hard bid General Contractor.
· Strong technical knowledge of all aspects of Mechanical work.
· Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Project Management Systems such as ProCore.
· A Mechanical Engineering background is preferred &/or a Mechanical Engineering Degree specifically

Salary to be negotiated based on skill set and industry standards.
