At Plan Group, we work on landmark projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible. As an Electrical, Mechanical, and Technology contractor supporting multiple major projects across the GTA, we are expanding our team and looking for driven Forepersons to join our on-site operations throughout the region.
As a Mechanical Foreperson, you will:
- Lead mechanical crews and coordinate day-to-day onsite activities.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to support installation work.
- Plan workflow, schedule tasks, and help ensure project milestones and labour targets are achieved.
- Manage material orders and maintain accurate tracking of tools and equipment.
- Verify installation quality and ensure all work aligns with project requirements and Plan Group standards.
- Promote and enforce Plan Group safety policies at all times.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain efficient site operations.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to apprentices and journeypersons.
- Complete required site documentation, including daily logs, timesheets, as-builts, and 4-week look-ahead schedules, and participate in all relevant site meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of Mechanical Foreperson experience.
- Strong knowledge of hydronic piping systems, plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment installations.
- Comfortable using computers to review drawings and operate construction-related software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong commitment to safety and consistent adherence to Plan Group policies.
- Member of Local 46.
