Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Design, test, and evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by conducting research and applying mechanical principles.


• Develop cost‑effective equipment modifications to improve safety and reliability.


• Create 3D CAD models and detailed shop drawings using SolidWorks.


• Assist in developing prototypes and evaluating results to recommend design modifications.


• Participate in mine site visits and collaborate with field operators to gather insights for product improvements.


• Coordinate maintenance and repair services to ensure operational equipment reliability.


• Stay current with industry developments by attending workshops, seeking out training, and expanding your technical knowledge.

Qualifications for Success

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent at an accredited institution.


• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and Lean Manufacturing techniques.


• Experience or familiarity with 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.


• Practical, hands‑on background with exposure to machining, fabrication, and assembly.


• Exceptional problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail and efficiency.


• Able to work independently or within a team to meet deadlines and project goals.


• Strong communication skills, with the ability to contribute in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
