Job Description
International Quest Engineering Ltd. (IQE) is currently looking for a motivated mechanical designer to join our team. IQE specializes in structural and mechanical engineering for the wood products, mining and energy industries.
Job Description:
This is a growth-oriented position with a variety of tasks ranging from in-office design work to field work at a job site. Being a smaller firm means IQE offers unique opportunities in terms of variety of projects as well as career advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Create technical drawings, schematics, solid models, FEA studies (in 2D and 3D)
- Research, develop and check technical specifications used in the design process
- Complete field measuring and design confirmation
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Technology Diploma or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in mechanical design
- Experience in materials handling
- Experience in design/drafting of structural steel supporting mechanical equipment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a positive and team-oriented attitude
- Attention to detail and strives for excellence
- Valid driver’s license

Wage Range: $36 - $42 per hr (reviewed annually and adjusted based on performance)
