Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Material Planner to join the Supply Chain Planning team. As a Material Planner, you will work to ensure the timely delivery of parts and materials to support our Manufacturing and Production departments, Sales and Maintenance departments, and general supply needs. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of inventory control, and experience with material planning and releasing Production Orders.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the Master Production Schedule, and managing the scheduling/planning of all production parts in accordance with the Master Schedule
- Planning of Production Orders to fill open Sales Orders (Customer Support)
- Closing/finishing of Production Orders
- Maintaining blanket Sales Order for top-level aircraft in ERP
- Maintaining schedules/work centers and item reservations in ERP
- Assisting in the development of MRP and improvements to ERP processes
- Assisting in continuous improvement initiatives and annual inventory
- Following all safe work practices and working in accordance with company policies, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and applicable Regulations.
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of planning experience in a Production environment
- Manufacturing background with a strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Excellent computer skills. Proficient use of ERP/MRP software and of Microsoft Office applications (working experience with Navision / Business Central considered an asset)
- Strong interpersonal skills (positive attitude; ability to maintain good working relationships)
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision and with strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated to work with diverse technical group
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours as required
