Description
You will design, build, and support automated test solutions used on manufacturing lines. You’ll write test software (LabVIEW, Python, C#), integrate instruments and fixtures, automate data capture and Power BI dashboards, and provide responsive production support. You’ll collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure high uptime, repeatability, and compliance with quality standards. Key Responsibilities Develop & maintain automated test software in LabVIEW, plus supporting tools in Python and C#. Create test sequences, UIs, and instrument drivers; integrate DAQ/PXI and common interfaces (VISA/GPIB/USB/Ethernet). Build data pipelines from test stations to databases/files; publish Power BI dashboards and automated reports. Provide production support (remote/onsite): triage issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions. Validate/calibrate instruments; maintain fixtures, cables, and documentation (procedures, wiring, BOMs). Collaborate with design/manufacturing engineering and technicians; communicate status to management. Use source control (Git), code reviews, and basic CI to ensure code quality and traceability. Adhere to ESD/safety and quality procedures; contribute to continuous improvement (yield, cycle time, FPY).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proven team collaboration and communication with engineers, technicians, and management. Hands‑on instrumentation: oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, DAQ/PXI; familiarity with test methods (e.g., ICT, FCT, boundary scan, ESS) and basic electronics (reading schematics). NI ecosystem: TestStand, DAQmx, PXI, instrument control via VISA; NI certifications (CLAD/CLD). Power BI for dashboards/reporting and process automation (e.g., scheduled refresh, data transforms). Industrial integration: PLCs, CAN/Modbus/RS‑485, barcode/traceability, Windows services. Quality/Regulatory exposure: IPC‑A‑610, ISO 9001/13485, IATF 16949, AS9100 (EMS/medtech/auto/aero). Power BI depth: DAX, Power Query (M), Power Automate for notifications/workflows. Hardware/fixture familiarity: soldering/rework, basic mechanical CAD, safety interlocks. Statistical methods: SPC, GR&R, MSA; FPY/cycle‑time analysis. UI frameworks (WPF/WinForms) for operator stations.
