Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer

Automotive Manufacturing | High-Impact Engineering Role | Full-Time

Build. Improve. Launch. Optimize.

If you’re a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who thrives in fast-paced production environments, enjoys seeing ideas move from concept to launch, and wants your work to directly impact efficiency, quality, and performance, this role is for you.

We’re looking for an engineer who enjoys being on the shop floor just as much as managing projects — someone who can take ownership of new programs, drive continuous improvement, and help shape how products are built from day one.

Why You’ll Want This Role

  • Be at the center of new program launches — from PO through full production ramp-up
  • Drive real, measurable improvements in OEE, quality, and cost
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Tooling, and Leadership
  • Influence tooling, machine design, and manufacturing methods
  • Solve real problems using structured methodologies (APQP, 8D, FMEA)
  • See your ideas implemented — not stuck in meetings or spreadsheets

What You’ll Be Doing

Program Launch & Engineering Leadership

  • Lead new program implementation using APQP methodologies
  • Manage engineering changes and coordinate customer/internal updates
  • Own project timelines, priorities, and production readiness
  • Support prototype builds and transition projects into production
  • Deliver final approvals and handoffs to Manufacturing

⚙️ Continuous Improvement & Performance Optimization

  • Identify and implement waste reduction and cost-saving initiatives
  • Conduct time studies and work method analysis
  • Use ERP data to improve OEE (scrap, downtime, efficiency)
  • Lead or participate in 8D and structured problem-solving teams
  • Improve tooling, machine design, and manufacturing processes

Quality, Documentation & Systems

  • Develop clear work instructions and technical documentation
  • Support TS/IATF quality systems and audits
  • Improve data collection and shop-floor information systems
  • Assist with preventive maintenance planning and training materials

What You Bring to the Team

Education & Experience

  • Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Experience with welding, tube bending, machining, assembly, or stamping

Technical Strengths

  • Strong working knowledge of APQP, FMEA, capability studies
  • Experience with tooling, machine design, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Comfortable using ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools

Professional Skills

  • Confident communicator across all levels — shop floor to leadership
  • Strong problem-solver who makes sound decisions under pressure
  • Organized, self-driven, and accountable
  • Natural leader who can guide teams and suppliers

How Success Is Measured

  • Improved OEE and manufacturing performance
  • Successful, on-time program launches
  • Quality and impact of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Accuracy, ownership, and follow-through on projects

Safety & Authority

  • Authority to stop production for safety or quality concerns
  • Active role in continuous improvement and audit activities
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence

This is not a desk-only engineering role. It’s a chance to own programs, drive improvements, and leave your mark on how products are built. If you like seeing tangible results from your work and being part of a manufacturing team that values engineering input, we’d love to connect.
